Long hours
Super work day from 7:30Am Thursday until 12:30 PM on Friday. The men would not quit until our part of the job was done. The result? Tired but glad for sucess and that for memories that we did not give up.

Famous Hymn Writer
Robert Lowery was instrumental in helping organize a mission church that became the church where we are. In the 1860's or so he wrote "Christ Arose," "Nothing but the Blood," and others. He wrote the music to a hymn written by a member of this church, Annie Hawks; the beloved hymn is "All the Way My Savior Leads Me." This monument was erected in front of this church, Sixth Avenue, in Brooklyn.
